James Goyder - About me
I am a freelance journalist and photographer based in South East Asia and these days I mainly write about MMA, boxing and Muay Thai although I've covered everything from combat zones to the credit crunch in my career to date.
My work has been featured in newspapers, magazines and websites all over the world including The Guardian & The Telegraph (UK), The National (UAE), The New Paper (Singapore), The Nation The Bangkok Post (Thailand), The Taipei Times and the Phnom Penh Post.
I write a weekly blog for the ex-pat section of The Telegraph and I appear on Radio New Zealand every six weeks or so to talk about sport in South East Asia. I've been on Fox News, the BBC and Al Jazeera in the past and if you want to do a radio or television interview with me feel free to get in contact.
In the even more distant past I got a BA (Hons) in English and Creative Writing from Buckinghamshire New University and an NCTJ Award in Newspaper Journalism from West Kent College. Originally from England, I am now living just outside of Bangkok but I travel regularly and can frequently be found in places like Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Macau and Manila.
